Hello, I’m Laurel

Thanks for being here!

I’m a graphic designer and illustrator by trade and an artist at heart. I started my career dabbling in branding and product development, creating all kinds of design work for home and fashion products, packaging, signage, and paper goods.

I still love designing, but after purchasing our first home in 2017 with my husband, I fell in love with the garden. Its an extension of my creativity, and welcomes in a kind of beauty and peace that doesn’t quit exist digitally.

My Mom named me Laurel Autumn after things she loved (nature and the seasons). And I have grown into it more and more with age. Some of my earliest memories are going to the garden center and my Mom letting me pick out something pretty to plant. I’m inspired to continue on as an avid gardener in her honor. It has become a great comfort to be immersed in the beauty and know she is near in spirit.

After becoming a Mother myself to girl and boy fraternal twins in 2019, I feel an even stronger yearning towards nature and creativity. Its a meaningful endeavor and a constant inspiration that I hope to pass along to my little ones, and to those of you who follow along.
